The Georgia Chapter offers a variety of breastfeeding education to Georgia’s physicians and other healthcare providers. The EPIC® Breastfeeding Program is a ground-breaking state-funded initiative launched in July 2007. Our EPIC® Breastfeeding Advisory Committee is led by our chapter leader, pediatrician, and breastfeeding medicine physicianHiral Lavania, MD, IBCLC. Claire Eden, IBCLC is the Director of the EPIC® Breastfeeding Education Program. The EPIC® Breastfeeding Program curriculum has been developed with the guidance and expertise of the Advisory Committee, comprised of local physicians and breastfeeding experts.
Help the Georgia Chapter AAP make Georgia a healthier state by participating in an EPIC® Breastfeeding Program. Together, we can increase our states' breastfeeding rates and help more families meet their breastfeeding goals.
AAP Chapter Member Benefits:

She can call on members of our breastfeeding committee if needed for more complex concerns and can answer questions on breastfeeding management, increasing milk supply, pumping and storing breast milk, and help you access resources in your community. If you are a member of the Georgia Chapter of AAP, you may call our office for breastfeeding questions or for more information about joining the breastfeeding committee at 404.881.5095 or email her @ ceden@gaaap.org
